Continue ShoppingFall color decor guide is here.
When you design your home for how you want to feel you get intentional about what colors you use — based on how they make you feel.
It’s a simple thing that makes a huge difference in making your house feel comfortable and authentic to you.
You can easily take the feeling of colors into account for your seasonal decor if you know a little about how they each make you feel.
I covered the emotions and feelings associated with your favorite fall colors, brown, orange, red, and yellow here:
Color Psychology: the emotions your fall colors bring
But I know that it can be hard to go from picking colors to incorporating them into your decor. So as promised, here are your fall color decor boards for each of these four main fall colors. Remember there are countless shades of each color so pick the shades that feel best and work best for your tastes and design.
Update, October 2026: some of the original pieces in this guide are no longer sold, so I swapped in similar items. Anything marked (sub) is a substitute, and "shop similar" links go to a search of close matches.
