A body of work about the women who surround us, seen and unseen.  

The title comes from Psalms 34:7: 'The angel of the Lord encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.' 

These paintings started with the idea of this verse, of being held, surrounded, witnessed, by the women in our lives and beyond them.  Each piece in the Round About series is a large-scale original oil painting, or a fine art giclée archival print replication. The figures are rendered in warm, quiet tones against soft grounds. There are halos to signify light and goodness. The kind of divinity every woman carries whether she sees it in herself or not.
